ABOUT AMY WONG
I am an ambitious fourth-year student at UBC Sauder interested in specializing in accounting and business technology management. With experience as a treasurer of a company and regional manager of a non-profit organization, I have gained experience in a professional environment, as well as, valuable leadership skills. Being a treasurer for my Scouts company showed me a logistical approach to problem-solving and the necessary steps I needed to take to ensure the company sustained and grew. The challenging role of being a treasurer invigorated me and allowed me to thrive as I learned to make an impact in my community. As the regional manager of Vancouver for the Wish Youth Network Society, I organized different branches of the club all over the city and ensured that the program was running smoothly. Through this experience, I developed my problem-solving skills and learned to think outside of the box. Not only am I passionate about the world of business, but I am also an avid explorer of the outdoors and I love to search for new adventures. I always try to find time to hike in the beautiful forests of British Columbia and take a breath of fresh air away from the busy city. Playing basketball has also been a passion of mine since a young age. The intensity and adrenaline rush of a high-pressure, competitive basketball game will always be addictive and exciting to me.
