Liaison with GBC Alumni Association Board of Directors by: scheduling, coordinating and attending quarterly Alumni Board meetings. Providing follow-up assistance as a result of the meetings. Assuming responsibility for the Alumni Board checking account. Organizing and executing Alumni functions such as: Distinguished Alumni Gallery banquet, Homecoming Weekend, and other events as assigned. This includes the responsibility for onsite setup, operation and disassembly as well as overseeing event-day staff, solving problems that arise and reviewing checklists. Develop new strategies for getting alumni connected to the College beyond the standard events that have characterized alumni relations in the past.Maintain and assist in other Alumni related activities such as: Assuming responsibility for the College’s Annual Fund drive, Write the Annual Fund appeal letter, maintain an updated contact list for donors, process donations as they arrive, and respond to donations promptly with the appropriate thanks. Assisting with the production of written materials including newsletters, alumni correspondence and web-based or other communications with alumni and friends of the College including but not limited to: Reflections and general correspondence. This includes writing, editing, proofreading and gathering information from various sources. Assisting with maintaining the alumni database of alumni/donor records. This includes research and phone calls to update the database after each mailing/email that produces returned mail. Maintain the Alumni section of the College’s website.Manage Event Center bookings by: Assisting with event planning when needed, including events that are not alumni-focused. Take responsibility for booking the Event Center (creating and negotiating contracts, assisting with the planning of set-up and menus for anyone planning an event in that space, maintaining IOP\'s for internal and external use).
