ABOUT AMY ATWOOD

Amy Atwood is a dynamic, values-driven communications executive with 30 years ​of experience leading corporate communications, change management and strategic transformation across global enterprises. As Head of Transformation & Change Management in Real Chemistry’s Advisory practice RC Resolve, she partners with leaders to navigate complex organizational shifts, strengthen culture, and align employees around purpose, strategy, and performance. Amy believes that reputation begins with employees—the people who live a company’s mission, embrace its strategy, and work every day on behalf of patients. ​Amy is widely recognized for her ability to build and reorganize communications and engagement functions to meet evolving business needs, utilizing modern organizational design principles to drive clarity, efficiency and impact. Prior to Real Chemistry, she served as Vice President of US and Global Corporate Communications at Takeda, where she led global issues and crisis communications, reputation, media relations and US employee and executive communications. During her more than 10 years at Takeda, she also held senior roles across US Communications and Philanthropy, Global Vaccines and Global Oncology Public Relations, following earlier leadership positions at Sanofi Oncology, Genzyme and National Grid. ​A cancer survivor and caregiver, Amy brings a deeply personal commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement. She serves on multiple nonprofit boards, advises industry organizations, and continues to champion communications as a force for brand integrity, employee engagement and positive social impact.She is a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, is a frequent judge for communications industry awards and was on the Executive Committee for PRSA Health Academy. In addition, she is on the Board of Directors for the West End House Boys and Girls Club, on the Board of Advisors for Life Science Cares and is an avid volunteer/supporter of numerous other charitable organizations, including NORD’s Running for Rare Team.Opinions are my own.
