About Amy Paul

I am a storyteller and fundraiser who has been doing social impact work for over 15 years. I believe that getting the narrative right helps advance progressive policies and build influence for social change, whether it\'s pitching to an investor, getting buy-in from leadership, or driving a campaign to inspire broad-based participation. Some of my most profound and humbling experiences occurred serving on nonprofit boards including Adhikaar for Human Rights and South Asian Women\'s Creative Collective, where I learned nonprofit governance and accountability; I have since facilitated numerous conversations that focus on recruitment, strategic planning, and organizational sustainability. Outside the 9-5, I founded The People\'s Walking Tour, an immigration-themed experience through the backstreets of Jackson Heights, Queens, one of the most diverse zip codes in the country. I also co-curate Queens Writers Resist, a platform for artists to amplify their resistance stories through poetry, fiction, and song. And, I produced the Domestic Worker Theater Project and Nepali Queens Youth Empowerment Project, performances that highlighted the struggles of labor, immigration, and gender, told through first-hand testimonials on the stage. I am passionate about radical experimentation as a tool for transformation.
