About Amy Jo F. Overlin
Dr. Overlin is a board certified sports medicine provider and currently serves as a primary care sports medicine physician at Banner – University Medicine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Phoenix. She is actively involved in youth sports programs across the Valley including serving as the Head Team Physician for the Tempe Union High School District, Chandler Gilbert Community College and the ASU Men’s Club Gymnastics Team. She also works with many gymnastics clubs throughout the greater Phoenix area. Dr. Overlin is active in the professional sports arena, currently serving as the Head Team Physician for the WNBA Phoenix Mercury. She specializes in medical care of the athletic population with an emphasis on youth sports injuries, non-operative orthopedics and family medicine. She treats pediatrics, adults and older populations.As a former college gymnast she understands firsthand the passion and drive her athletes have. She loves the ability to meld her two passions of athletics and medicine which allows her to provide the highest level of sports medicine care to her patients and get them back to their sports safely and as quickly as possible.
