   NODA is designed for patients who are on comfort care and are expected to pass within 24-48 hours. Vigil shifts for volunteers are four hours long and volunteers are on call each week- Currently, lead two teams of 30+ volunteers-Coordinate patient activation among volunteers in the Clark and Cowlitz Counties. This includes, first response to patient actively transitioning and contacting all team members assigned-Communicating all information regarding experiences with multiple stakeholders including Nurses, CNA\'s and Volunteers to PeaceHealth Hospice Coordinator-Provide educational training to Assisted Living Facilities-Make recommendations when necessary about operational processes-Advocate for patient when the person is alone or unable to speak for him/herself-Provide comfort/support for the patient-Provide a presence of peace and calm-Integrity with ability to maintain confidentially.
