Strategic Communications Manager
Dec 2024 — Present · Germantown, MD, US
As Strategic Communications Manager at The Geneva Foundation, I lead the organization’s communications strategy with a sharp focus on aligning scientific storytelling to Geneva’s mission of advancing military medical research. From elevating emerging science to amplifying voices at the intersection of medicine and defense, my work ensures that Geneva’s impact is seen, understood, and remembered.I oversee the development of advocacy-focused publications and newsletters designed to engage Congressional staff and Department of Defense stakeholders in key states—translating complex research into compelling narratives that resonate where policy meets impact. As editorial lead, I drive flagship initiatives including the Researcher of the Year campaign and high-visibility events like the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS).In parallel, I manage executive-level operations for Geneva’s Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board. This includes coordinating quarterly meetings, developing briefing materials, and maintaining consistent communication and alignment between governance and executive priorities. My role is highly collaborative, working alongside researchers, government relations experts, and program leaders to position Geneva at the forefront of innovation through strategic partnerships across the federal, academic, and private sectors.I also craft the messaging frameworks and brand toolkits that guide Geneva’s external voice—ensuring consistency across LinkedIn, press releases, and strategic engagement opportunities that define how we show up to the world.
