About Amy Messigian
I have worked as a management-side employment lawyer for nearly 20 years. I was also previously responsible for all employee relations matters for the NFL\'s west coast operations. In both capacities, I have provided strategic counsel in all aspects of California and federal labor and employment law, including in the areas of disability and religious accommodation, medical leaves of absence, parental leave and paid sick time, wage and hour compliance, workplace privacy, workplace investigations and background checks, arbitration agreements, restrictive covenants and severance, and all other issues pertaining to employee hiring, discipline and termination. I provide consultation and review of employment policies and procedures. I have defended hundreds of cases to successful resolution involving claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, the FMLA/CFRA, and the California Labor Code. I have also appeared regularly before the California DLSE and other state and federal administrative agencies.
