ABOUT AMY LOUISE METZINGER
I can pinpoint when I realized my passion to a specific day in third grade - on the same day I was nearly sent to the principal’s office. Growing up, my childhood \"dream job\" was to be an artist, and at 8 years old, I started selling artwork out of my lift-lid wooden desk. While my impulsive entrepreneurial venture may have been quickly discovered by my teacher, my creative drive was not extinguished but stoked, and has only remained and grown with me since. My work history combined with my education at UNC-Chapel Hill has led me to collect a wide breadth of experience across different industries on both the client and agency sides. While my educational background in advertising and marketing has helped me develop the strategic acumen to uncover insights and ideate innovative marketing campaigns, my work experience and passion for art and design have pushed me to nurture the skills to create equally beautiful and actionable visual solutions. Over the past few years, I’ve been fortunate enough to flex my creative muscles in several exciting spaces - including sports, public service, healthcare, and fashion & lifestyle.I graduated from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I studied Advertising/Public Relations, Graphic Design, and Studio Art. Now I work as a Creative Associate at Indie Consulting. I believe that collaboration is at the heart of the highest level of creativity, and strive to foster a welcoming workspace, leading with empathy. I am a proponent of lifelong learning and am currently enrolled in Google\'s UX Design Professional Certificate program - learning how to create wireframes and prototypes, as well as expanding my skillset with Figma.
