The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing economic and financial literacy across Oklahoma. Since 1954, we have empowered educators with the knowledge and tools to teach essential economic concepts, free enterprise education, and financial management skills to students in grades K-12.As an affiliate of the Council for Economic Education, OCEE is part of a national network committed to economic education excellence. While we maintain a valued partnership being housed and located within the College of Business at The University of Central Oklahoma, we operate as an independent nonprofit, raising our own funds to support our mission and programs.Our goal is to ensure that every Oklahoma student gains the skills needed to thrive—as productive citizens, informed consumers, and knowledgeable voters. By equipping teachers with high-quality professional development and resources, we help shape a future where all Oklahomans can make sound financial decisions that drive personal and statewide prosperity.

The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit educational organization whose mission is promoting economic and financial literacy in Oklahoma. Established in 1954, OCEE is affiliated with the Council for Economic Education – a national network of state councils and university-based centers. We accomplish our mission by training K-12 teachers how to incorporate principles of economics and personal finance into the classroom curriculum. Economic education is real life, because all young people will grow up and become part of the marketplace. OCEE provides resources and training to teachers in both public and independent schools in Oklahoma. Our principle is that through training teachers, the multiplier effect is achieved. Each school year, the training a teacher receives through OCEE will impact new children. Ensuring our students understand economics and know how to manage their financial resources are the keys to growth and development in our great State of Oklahoma.
