Dane County Humane Society (DCHS) is on a journey to become a national model for animal sheltering and community outreach. We are committed to saving all healthy and treatable animals in our care-DCHS is a place of refuge, healing and new beginnings. DCHS volunteers and professionals come together every day in the spirit of Helping People Help Animals, and together we create a culture of compassion, empathy, integrity and accountability. As Director of Development and Marketing, I\'m a key member of the DCHS leadership team, overseeing and directing external relations and philanthropic efforts of the organization. I lead the Development and Marketing Team to optimize our fundraising activities, in collaboration with the shelter\'s leadership team and program, operations and clinical staff. I connect with donors about providing philanthropic support to care for over companion animals, exotic species, farm animals, small mammals, and orphaned and injured wildlife annually. Additionally, I collaborate with donors about special projects, legacy giving, and transformational gifts leading to DCHS becoming a national model and permanent resource for animal welfare in our community and beyond.
