The Council is a non-partisan alliance of businesses, academic and health institutions, and public and private organizations throughout New England formed to promote economic growth and a high quality of life in the New England region. Bringing expertise from a wide range of industries and a deep understanding of the unique elements of the New England economy, the board works closely with Council staff to identify issues and policies in which the Council should be engaged, to shape the council’s policy positions, and to develop high-quality programming for members.
