About Amy Invernizzi
I am a Senior Editor in academic publishing with over a decade of experience commissioning and developing scholarly book programs. I currently lead high-volume acquisitions across monographs, edited collections, and reference works, working closely with authors to bring rigorous, impactful research to publication.I currently oversee the Philosophy book program at Palgrave, and welcome proposals for scholarly monographs, edited collections, Palgrave Pivots, Handbooks, and major reference works in all areas of Philosophy. I am especially interested in topics relating to Ethics, AI/Technology, Continental Philosophy, Social Philosophy, Political Philosophy, and non-Western philosophies. My work spans proposal evaluation, peer review coordination, contract development, and full lifecycle oversight from manuscript delivery through publication. I collaborate cross-functionally with production, marketing, sales, and design teams to ensure each project is strategically positioned and successfully launched.In addition to commissioning, I partner with senior leadership on program strategy and long-term list development, identifying emerging research areas and cultivating strong author pipelines through conference engagement and outreach.I am particularly experienced in humanities and social science publishing, though my focus remains on building sustainable, forward-looking scholarly programs.
