Supports method/protocol development, testing, and deployment of laboratory automation solutions spanning various liquid handling and robotic platforms, including Hamilton, Agilent Bravo, Beckman Echo, and Tecan- Collaborates with R&D scientists to understand workflow needs, ultimately implementing (or not!) automated solutions to either build new workflows or optimize existing ones- Supports IQ/OQ/PQ activities across instrument platforms- Programming and optimization of Momentum workflows involving multi-plate assays spanning upwards of 24 hours, with the majority of said workflows enabling walkaway automation - Live troubleshooting of issues surfaced during production or thereafter, including followup root cause analysis- Builds and maintains software infrastructure to enable raw data wrangling, piping, and analytics of instrument log data stored in AWS, to gain insights into instrument uptime, method performance, and opportunity costs- Implements LIMS integrations using Python, SimpleETL DashApp, RESTful APIs, bazel build tools, vc’d using Git - 3D modelling and prototyping for development and optimization of custom integrations, interfacing with OEM systems- Provides service and support for Hamilton & Tecan systems, root cause analysis of hardware issues based in first principles, and then performing adjustments, calibrations, or part swaps as necessary- Generates extensive technical documentation, both internal & end user facing, to empower automation users and provide technical references for automation solutions released to production- Provides hands-on training to R&D scientists and ongoing technical support for automation systems users- Approaches problems with a mindset of capital and time savings across all fronts, with an emphasis on creating clear and open communication channels with project teams- Builds relationships with individuals both in and outside of collaborating teams to enhance trust across the organization
