I cover Ohio\'s colleges and universities. I\'m especially interested in the state\'s regional public universities, shedding light on the vital role these schools play in educating big swaths of Ohioans and shaping local economies.I also keep tabs on higher ed policies coming out of the Ohio Statehouse and look for ways to inform audiences about the real-life impacts of those decisions. This work is an expansion of my original beat at Signal Cleveland. I was one of two reporters helping to launch the Signal Statewide team in late 2024. This position continues to be in partnership with Open Campus.
