About Amy Fulford

Amy founded enlight in 2005 with a vision to work with clients in a meaningful way. She understands that a real partnership, not the typical consulting version, will help clients create more value. She helps clients reshape how they run their companies by bringing input and insights that enhance the way they think about their business and industry. Amy finds connections and lessons where others aren’t even looking. She might apply how a family office invests in companies or how a start-up bootstraps operations to a manufacturing company’s approach to innovation. She constantly applies lessons from other industries, clients, and the enlight network to the project at hand, finding parallels by breaking problems down and discovering similarities – many that are unexpected. Amy understands that building on her clients’ depth of perspective and experience is invaluable to charting a path for the future. She relishes the opportunity to learn from her clients and broaden her perspective with each engagement. Because she knows that no strategy is successful if the client doesn’t own it, she engages leadership teams, employees and board members to co-create the plan and ensure that they are prepared to execute. Amy has worked across virtually all industries and sectors. She’s worked with start-ups, and established companies, private equity portfolio companies, family businesses and other closely-held companies – even public companies. She understands how their priorities, pressures and personalities differ and adapts her approach accordingly.Amy honed her skills through a variety of roles at The Boston Consulting Group, Alcoa Inc, Procter & Gamble, Huntington Bank and family-owned businesses. Amy has held many civic board positions including various leadership positions on non-profit boards and the board of a public school district.Amy lives in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she works- a lot. She also loves to cook with her daughters, ski and travel. She’s a devoted fan of University of Kentucky basketball and can be found cheering on her daughters as they pursue their sports and passions.
