ABOUT AMY FELL
My name is Amy Fell and I have been called a(n) “connector”, “big picture thinker”, “emotionally intelligent leader”, and “maximizer”. I thrive in times of change and chaos because I create opportunities for abstract ideas and talented people to thrive, strive and produce meaningful work. I am passionate about helping individuals, teams and organizations maximize their potential in service of people, purpose and productivity. I aim to lead with compassion and candor to create an authentic sense of belonging. My mentors have taught me to listen to understand what others are saying and the virtue of patience. This approach has enabled me to harness the wisdom and naivete of our multi-generational and multi-cultural workplaces. I approach my work with a growth mindset. I practice my craft through learning alongside students, pursuing partnerships, honing my approach to training, reinventing our offerings, and am currently designing upskilling training. At BCIT, I am faculty in the School of Business and Media, Program Head of the Advanced Diploma in Business Management and lead Corporate and Industry Training. My areas of interest and expertise include: Leadership Development, Engagement, Strategic Planning, Collaboration, Change Management, Organizational Culture, Conflict Resolution and Team Dynamics. You can also find me drinking tea and listening to jazz while tying bouquets in my garden or trying to keep up with my husband and son on our local bike paths.
