About Amy Roach
Through growing up in a multicultural family, defeating the language barrier (Mandarin and English), overcoming racial hardships, and understanding my skills and strengths, I have found a passion for pursuing the field of Human Resources. I find motivation and passion through forming meaningful relationships and creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all I interact with. From August 2020 to December 2023 I studied International Business and specialized in Human Resource Management. Additionally, I earned an Asian Studies minor with a focus on the Chinese language. As a student, I had the ability to pursue my global mindset by learning more about other people’s cultures and experiencing how norms uniquely differ by spending a semester abroad in Bulgaria and traveling throughout Europe. It was a truly immersive experience and I am grateful that this opportunity taught me so many valuable life lessons! Additionally, I broadened my knowledge in all things DEI by taking educational courses and partaking in a national research-based case study that required in-depth research and facilitation of respectful yet challenging discussions and also held a leadership position with Kappa Delta Sorority on the DEI Committee. Post study, I decided to move to a state that would present me with more international business opportunities. Living in Arizona, I very quickly discovered the world of semiconducting. I took on my first role at Tokyo Electron (TEL) as a Bilingual Administrative Associate. In just a few months I was converted into a Lead Data & Systems Analyst to support a rapidly expanding industry by training employees, ordering parts, monitoring progress, and auditing data to support lead engineers and higher management for wafer production at TSMC. A couple months later, I was given the opportunity to work at TSMC as a fixed-term contractor (four months) as an HR Operations Assistant which fulfilled two of my professional aspirations:(1) to work in HR (2) at an international company. Upon successful completion of my contract, I started a new career with ADP as HR Compliance Specialist. I look forward to showing longevity and growth in future leadership opportunities. My top five Clifton Strengths are Restorative, Discipline, Deliberative, Focus, and Responsibility. My Predictive Index is an Adapter.
