ABOUT AMY ZHOU
I\'m an Urban Planner and Researcher with specific focus on Chinatowns, housing, anti-gentrification, and economic development, and broader interests in surveillance + smart cities, labor, and Asian American/Canadian identity. I have developed a strong, interdisciplinary skillset that includes : Strong academic and non-academic writing experiences (published in the Harvard Urban Review and Knock LA; listed as co-author on Center for Neighborhood Knowledge publications, Southern California Association of Governments documents) Data & Metrics Reporting experience through the City of Los Angeles\' Department of Cultural Affairs, where I developed instruments to collect information on cancelled COVID-19 events and weekly metrics form various divisions; Qualitative and quantitative research experience from various projects from the Southern California Association of Governments and Center for Neighborhood Knowledge; Strong leadership & teamwork skills from various leadership positions (i.e. Chinatown Community for Equitable Development and Planners of Color for Social Equity) and teamwork.
