About Amy Chin-Lai

I am passionate about driving progressive change by building worker power and great technology. I have been serving as the President of the Nonprofit Professional Employees Union, IFPTE Local 70 since October 2023, and was elected as a Vice President in 2022. At NPEU, I have scaled up the union, addressed challenges of rapid growth, and set the union on a path of sustainable organizing. I work to empower nearly union members across 50+ bargaining units to advocate for their colleagues and defend workers\' rights.As a software engineer at Action Network, I am a full-stack developer, experienced in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript-based programming with a background in political communications, email deliverability, and political campaigns. I am known for building strong relationships with large clients and understanding their user experience to help nonprofit and campaign technology companies drive efficient web app development.
