About Amy Berkhoudt Woodman
I build programs that help ideas, communities, and organizations grow. Over the past decade, I’ve designed and launched initiatives across education, technology, and the arts, working with nonprofits to create programs that are impactful to the communities they serve. In 2012, I co-founded the Detroit Food & Entrepreneurship Academy, a youth leadership nonprofit that continues to operate today. Since then, I’ve led state-level policy initiatives, developed fee-for-service sustainability models, and created educational programs and curriculum that have reached millions of students.Today, as Director of Fellowship Programs at the Processing Foundation, I support artists and creative technologists building open-source tools and experimental software at the intersection of art and code. Through fellowships, mentorship, and public programming, I work with multidisciplinary artists around the world who are using technology to expand creative expression and share cultural knowledge.Across all of my work, I’m interested in how learning happens beyond traditional classrooms: through communities, creative practice, and collaborative technology. I believe the most powerful programs create spaces where people can experiment and build knowledge together.More at amybwoodman.com
