ABOUT AMY W.
People-first leader | NHS England | Workforce, OD & Business Ops | Championing culture, growth & changeI’ve spent the last 17+ years growing with the NHS. My journey started as a Receptionist and took me through hands-on roles like Anticoagulant Assistant, MRI Assistant, and Orthopaedic Clerk. These early experiences grounded me in the realities of frontline care and gave me a deep respect for the people who keep the NHS moving.Since joining NHS England, I’ve built my career around people, purpose, and progress. I’ve worked across Business Support, PA roles, and Business Management, always with a strong focus on workforce and organisational development. I’m now proud to lead on business operations, workforce strategy, and OD initiatives that help teams not just adapt, but thrive.I hold qualifications in PRINCE2, MSP, Coaching & Mentoring, and CIPD (Associate Diploma, with an Advanced Diploma in progress). But more than the certificates, I’m passionate about the people profession, about creating cultures where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.I believe in driving systemic, sustainable cultural change. Whether it’s through strategy, storytelling, or simply listening. I am here to help shape a better, more human NHS.
