I knew that fulfilled, growing, engaged employees would always deliver at the highest levels for their companies. They invest more deeply in their work as they feel themselves succeeding—personally, professionally and emotionally. Every action they take becomes inspired, to the business’s benefit. I’ve worked in corporate America for over 20 years in a variety of roles, helping Fortune 500 companies hit aggressive targets. Throughout, my core contribution was building workplace cultures that centers around human potential and builds unity. Whether running learning programs, coaching individuals and teams to collaborate better, or helping leadership roll out global restructures or realignments, I’ve worked to sustain workforce-wide trust and psychological safety.(Since COVID-19, many more businesses appreciate just how important that is.) I credit my success to an ongoing fascination with neuroscience. You’ll regularly find me reading a new book or attending a new conference on how people learn, think, feel and process experiences. The human brain is incredible! And neuroscience can tell us so much about how to create workplace cultures that fortify a business along with the hearts and souls of everyone who works there. I continue to explore new ways to make employees feel included and help them grow. When people genuinely feel valued, anything is possible.
