Responsible for leading Nissan’s regional Ethics & Compliance program and team in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico as a part of Nissan’s global Ethics & Compliance program; focused on strengthening the proactive compliance program as well as overseeing and directing all Ethics investigations for the North American Region. • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters of ethics and compliance, including substantive compliance matters and ethics issues. Vocally and visibly advocate ethical conduct by all business functions in their activities.• Assess compliance risk in the business. Work with relevant business units to implement and maintain standards and controls in areas of compliance risk. Promote awareness among business stakeholders and others of the importance of ethics and compliance to the business.• Develop and implement programs to train employees on standards and controls to ensure comprehension. Monitor the business’s compliance with implemented standards and controls to ensure continued effectiveness.• Manage the Ethics & Compliance Department’s investigative function, including oversight of the employee hotline for reporting of ethics issues, investigating and managing cases, drafting investigation reports and making presentations to the North American Regional Compliance Committee, and working with business stakeholders to implement sanctions and changes to business processes that result from the Committee’s decisions.• Lead a team to undertake proactive compliance and investigative work. Train and nurture talent to ensure the strength of the function; performance manage and actively assist team members in identifying and achieving their professional goals.
