Our goal as career coaches, is to support student access to workplace experiences prior to graduation from SUU. Career Coaches focus on areas of career readiness such as gaining experiences in workplace environments through expanded internships and co-ops, coaching on workplace and industry adaptability, networking events with industry-specific partnerships, and guidance navigating entry into the workforce.Career Coaches will focus on- Professional Branding: Assisting students in crafting technical resumes, CVs, and digital profiles that highlight specialized skills, certifications, and proficiencies- Strategic Pathway Planning: Helping students identify high-growth career trajectories in fields spanning the STEM disciplines- Industry Integration: Organizing networking opportunities and events that bring students face-to-face with professionals from regional and national STEM agencies and firms.Southern Utah University has offered one of the best experiences I have had as an instructor and as a graduate student. I have been able to participate in so many memorable opportunities, many with my family, that have endeared this university to me: Community on the Go to London, Paris, and Machu Picchu, Shakespeare Festival performances, passenger in Aviation helicopter fly-overs, sporting events, plays and musical performances and both China and Prague for my spouse\'s professional assignments with SUU. I love the SUU campus community and the opportunities created here.
