   The Truth Initiative is a nonprofit tobacco control organization with 140 employees, helping all youth and young adults reject tobacco products.Serving as Chief of Community Engagement, I provide strategic oversight of community engagement programs within priority populations, managing $4.2M budget and total team of 15 staff members. I was brought in to build a youth activism program to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to engage their peers to reduce youth tobacco/vaping rates.Highlights of accomplishments in this role include: Conducted deep-dive analysis and realigned organizational infrastructure to establish a clear plan for growing youth activism program. Created strategic and operational roadmaps with well-defined performance metrics for monitoring progress towards goals, instilling a culture of transparency and accountability among staff. Raised $8.7M for high school and college education and digital advocacy activism programs by nurturing relationships with funding partners and 160 colleges nationwide (all minority-serving institutions). Directed sourcing and recruiting campaign that grew a robust network of one million youth supporters. Led campaign securing commitment from 40K youth leaders advocating for tobacco prevention policies on college campuses and in local communities.
