ABOUT AMY TAI
As a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft, my work involves implementing cutting-edge machine learning advancements to enhance the customer experience on Viva Engage with respect to recommender systems, generative AI, and large language models. I have hands-on experience conducting AB tests to improve models for millions of users at scale and routinely partner with multidisciplinary teams as the ML/AI expert. Outside of Microsoft, I also conduct research at one of the top engineering universities in Canada in the field of medical imaging x computer vision in the topic of cancer detection. I lead the Cancer-Net initiative along with Dr. Alexander Wong in the domain of breast, prostate, and skin cancer. I enjoy exciting challenges and I love learning new skills.
