   In the spirit of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, Healthy Learners is devoted to removing children\'s health barriers to learning with love and compassion. We address poverty at its root, so that future generations can lift themselves, and their communities, to a better life. Healthy Learners services include assistance with Medicaid application process, assistance with referrals for clinical counseling, coordination of health care, dental care, hearing evaluations and care, medications, transportation to appointments, treatment for medical needs and vision care. As Executive Director of Healthy Learners, I am leading the staff and Board into a new era of services and partnerships to achieve health and education related outcomes. Our new strategic direction includes establishing new service delivery systems, engaging community and state partners to build and sustain collective community support to remove health barriers to learning for children, expanding the geographic footprint of the organization\'s reach and impact and striving for organizational excellence.
