ABOUT AMY SLOTNICK

With extensive experience in the film industry, encompassing independent film distribution, impact marketing, story development and production, along with an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, Amy has a deep understanding of both the creative and business of making and selling films. Amy Slotnick currently works with boutique agency Passion Point Collective to produce, distribute and market films for international brands, with A-list producers and directors, to promote a brand\'s ethos and mission through storytelling. Prior to Passion Point, Amy founded Slingshot Films to use the power of film to effect social change, raise cultural awareness and move people to action. Through direct-to-audience engagement, outreach and strategic partnerships, Slingshot builds a film\'s community, online and at in-person screening events, to support a call to action for each project. Amy previously worked as an independent producer, development consultant and Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Miramax Films. Her films have played at major film festivals, including Sundance, Toronto, Venice and Tribeca, and received commercial and critical success, earning Academy Award nominations and Oscar wins.
