ABOUT AMY SANGUINETTI ACHIEVE HEALTH NV

I completed my doctorate in biochemistry in 2003 at the University of Nevada, Reno with Cynthia Mastick, PhD focusing on tyrosine kinase signaling. I went on to do a 1 year post doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Normand LeBlanc, PhD studying pulmonary artery smooth muscle cell calcium activated chloride channels. I continued my journey at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine graduating in 2008 and completed my residency program in Internal Medicine at Renown Medical Center and the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System.During residency I developed devotion for serving Veterans and upon completion of my training I accepted a position in primary care at the VA SNHCS. In addition to seeing patients I began a position in hospital administration under the leadership of Robert Kimmel, M.D. in the Ambulatory Care Service and then with Ivan Correa, M.D. as the Deputy Chief of Staff in 2017. In January 2020 I accepted a position as the Chief of Staff at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System.In January 2024 I started working for Northern Nevada HOPES in primary care and launched Achieve Health NV a direct primary care and weight management clinic with my partner Sara Trigero M.D. As dual board certified physicians in both Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine we have the unique privilege to be part of our patients health journey and partner with them to reach their goals in overall health and well-being. We are a membership based primary care and weight management clinic in Reno NV.
