Thirty five years of professional experience as a speech-language pathologist specializing in neurogenic speech and language disorders, language based learning disorders including dyslexia, autism, severe motor speech disorders, working with the child and adolescent psychiatric populations and learning disabilities/dyslexia. Diagnostics and treatment of young people with traumatic brain injury is a particular interest of mine. Management of literacy disorders, strictly taking a team approach to diagnosis and treatment. Trained in Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading programs with use of principles in language therapy to compliment tutoring supports with professionals who execute these programs. Provide comprehensive assessments along the linguistic hierarchy, served as a member of the fragile X team and Learning Center team at Akron Children\'s Hospital in Akron Ohio over an 18 year period of time. Provides teaching ongoing to fellows in the Departments of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Akron Children\'s Hospital. Speaker at several ASHA conventions, as well as local organizations.
