WORK HISTORY
Community Midwife @Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
As a community midwife, I provide holistic, person-centred care throughout the antenatal and postnatal journey. My role includes facilitating homebirths, supporting infant feeding, and preparing families for labour, birth, and the transition into parenthood.I work closely with individuals to explore their birth preferences, encourage informed choice and consent, and ensure they feel empowered and supported every step of the way. I have experience adapting care plans to meet wider needs, creating health passports, arranging additional support, and advocating for reasonable adjustments to promote equity and dignity in care.A key part of my role involves working collaboratively with a range of professionals, including social workers, health visitors, the perinatal mental health team, and safeguarding midwives, to ensure safe, joined-up care for those with complex or additional needs.Beyond clinical care, I also support families in accessing essential baby items and local services, helping to remove barriers and promote a positive start for every family I work with.My practice is grounded in empathy, evidence-based care, and a deep commitment to supporting choice, autonomy, and wellbeing in the perinatal period.
