ABOUT AMY MEEDEL
I have an incredible work ethic. I began paid employment within a family business at age 9 cleaning motel rooms, doing commercial laundry, working a 32-line PBX/telephone system and working in the office checking in hotel guests in Moorcroft, Wyoming.When we moved to Vegas, I was entrepreneurial, selling lemonade to 5th-grade class-mates, carrying a cooler a mile to school every day. In Jr. High, I worked the school cafeteria to earn money for school clothes and supplies. Then I worked with my sister cleaning downtown hotel rooms and private homes until I began to work fast-food where I quickly became a shift manager and was offered my own store. Since then I have earned two college degrees and the equivalent of a third. I worked for Clark County, 1994 to 2018, for the: District Attorney, Clerks Office, District Court and the Department of Family Services. Everywhere I have been able to work to provide direct service to customers. While working, and even before paid employment, I was doing volunteer work. Some highlights: serving on local, state & national boards of various women\'s organizations: National Organization for Women, American Business Women\'s Association, Business and Professional Women, and Women\'s Political Caucus.
