About Amy Maher

I’ve spent my career leading product teams in consumer tech. In my current role as Principal and Head of Product at Wildwood Ventures, I’m both an investor and a hands-on operator, working with companies at the very earliest stages. That often looks like sourcing and evaluating deals, then rolling up my sleeves as a fractional co-founder and product strategist to help teams move from 0 to 1.I’ve been a product thinker for as long as I can remember. My earliest concept, as a pre-internet 2nd grader in the early \'90s, was a CD player that also played music videos (dating myself!).A few grounding beliefs that shape how I work:• I think the best answer is almost always the simplest.• Strategy matters, but clarity matters more. Clear guardrails create room for great work.• Once you truly understand the customer and problem, the product becomes obvious.• Psychological safety is foundational. Creativity dies without trust.• Feedback is a gift, both giving it and receiving it.• I’m hard to offend, easily entertained, and I believe work goes better when we bring real connection and shared humanity into the room.I’m at my happiest professionally when we’re building something useful, learning quickly, and making life a little better for the person on the other side of the product.
