HR Business Partner supporting an international, multi-site matrixed organisation within the chemical manufacturing sector. Responsible for providing end-to-end generalist HR leadership, in a standalone capacity, across 4 locations (2 UK, 1 NL, 1 India), including unionised environments. Operate as a key member of the SLT, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align HR strategy with business goals and support organisational change, compliance, and growth.Key Responsibilities:• Provide full HR generalist support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, development, and change management.• Act as trusted HR partner to business leaders across UK, NL, and India, helping to shape and implement people strategies aligned to organisational priorities.• Support and coach leaders through complex employee relations cases, fostering a fair, high-performance culture in a unionised setting.• Lead and support change management initiatives to enable cultural transformation and continuous improvement.• Manage recruitment and talent acquisition across the EU, ensuring fair, inclusive, and efficient hiring processes.• Utilise HR metrics to influence decision-making, particularly around absence management and engagement.• Ensure adherence to EHS policies and HR compliance across international locations, keeping up to date with employment law.• Collaborate closely with the wider EU HR team, contributing to harmonised HR practices.Key Achievements:• Introduced and embedded an informal warning process.• Designed and implemented a formal workplace investigation framework, complete with standard templates and guidance documents.• Led the design and delivery of a UK-wide mental health and wellbeing initiative.• Established a HR Business Partnering model into day-to-day operations.• Developed a new starter HR onboarding session.• Reintroduced probation process and reviews.
