ABOUT AMY LOGAN

Making HR operations and systems work better - for the people who actually use them I lead and build People systems, and work closely with HR Operations to make sure what we design is practical, scalable, and actually makes day-to-day work easier for employees, managers and People teams. Over the last 11+ years, I’ve worked across global job board and recruitment tech businesses, leading HR operations and systems through growth, complexity and change. Most recently, I led a global Workday implementation from the ground up – simplifying a complex HR tech stack while redesigning the processes, governance and service model that sit around it. My experience spans HRIS strategy and delivery (Workday, Talentsoft, Neocase), HR operations and service delivery, case management, employee support models, onboarding, people portals, integrations, and operating model design. In reality, I spend a lot of my time untangling messy problems, simplifying things that have become over-engineered, and putting clear structure and ownership around how HR actually works. A big part of what matters to me is how people experience change. I care about building teams where people feel trusted, supported and able to do their best work - especially when things are busy or a bit chaotic. I currently head up the People Applications function at The Stepstone Group, working closely with HR Operations, Reward and Analytics to shape how the People function operates day to day. I enjoy working at scale, but I’m especially motivated by environments where there’s still plenty to shape, build and figure out. Outside of work, I’m (very slowly) working my way around every baseball stadium in the U.S. with my husband – and sharing my home office with Ted the dog, who is convinced he’s part of the leadership team. Always happy to connect with people who are building better people operations, fixing the messy stuff, or just sharing honest views on what actually works.
