I am an experienced grants professional who has assisted institutions of higher education and community-based nonprofits advance their strategic priorities with the assistance of external funding from private, federal, and state sources. During my 25+ year long career, I have raised over $70 million for colleges, universities, and community organizations. That means I like to write. Quite a bit. But I\'m not just a \"grant writer.\" Grant writers are important - they take raw information and data and turn it into a compelling narrative. Grants professionals, however, take a holistic view of an organization to understand its strengths, weakness, successes, and needs and use that perspective to assist with ideation and long-term planning. They don\'t just get the organization funding - they help fortify the foundation of the organization. But we also write. And nag people about deadlines. And work nights and weekends.
