I am a thoughtful, inclusive, and innovative educator with nearly 20 years of experience in program leadership, content development, and classroom instruction. Diversity, inclusion, and equity are at the forefront of what I do, and I ensure they are captured in the content I create. I successfully utilize my unique blend of technical and leadership skills to examine and continuously improve the curriculum our students access. My strengths lie in strategic planning, relationship building, and leading diverse teams. I deliver exceptional results through focused research, analysis of data and trends, strong technical knowledge, and an eye for detail. My colleagues recognize me for my creative problem-solving, effective communication style, and fierce dedication to student success. I am a proud first-generation collegegraduate and recipient of a full Pell Grant. My guiding light is to bring equitable academic gains to classrooms, an impact that will overflow into our communities. My published work has been featured on Medium.com, including the following:Pre-academic Skills & Success Skills (March 2021), New Culturally Relevant Social and Emotional Strategy Pages (February 2021), Help Students Stay on Task with New Behavior Anchor Pages (April 2019), New Early Childhood Strategy Pages & Resources in Goalbook Toolkit (June 2018), Applying Universal Design to Birth – 3 (November 2018), and Early Learning Strategy Pages (October 2017).
Experience
Managing Director Leadership Development
Apr 2024 — Present · King County, WA, US
I coach and develop cohorts of novice teachers to lead transformational, equity‑centered classrooms—pairing individualized coaching with data‑informed practices (e.g, CLASS and student feedback). I design and steward regional programming (practicum experiences, PD cycles, and community‑building) and partner with schools to align placements with regional goals. I manage systems and outcomes to ensure coherent support and measurable growth in teacher leadership and student experience.A few key achievements include:• Launched the first in‑region summer training program in partnership with Federal Way Public Schools; in Year 1, 100% of corps members reported confidence in lesson planning, co‑creating equitable classroom environments, modeling/coaching SEL, and being prepared as teacher leaders—and 100% of district mentor teachers felt valued as partners.• Rebuilt the corps member program in Washington after a multi‑year hiatus; in the first year, 91% of CMs reported a strong sense of belonging, and 90% of 2024 CMs showed Fall‑to‑Spring CLASS growth.• Advancing program outcomes in Year 2; early indicators include 100% of CMs feeling valued by peers and staff at the end of Practicum, 100% feeling deeply connected at Corps Member Kickoff, and 100% of 2025 CMs who began the first day of school remaining in the classroom.
