ABOUT AMY KIMMET-HUMFELD

With years of various volunteer experiences and a desire to make the world a better place, I looked forward to a career as a high school history teacher. My life-and thus, career path-took a devastating turn when my husband was killed in an accident while I was pregnant with our first child. I finished my degree and, following college graduation, subbed for a couple of years in an amazing school district. A move to a different state led to a recruiting position, then another contract position. Recruiting proved a productive utilization of my interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence and creativity. Upon the completion of my contracted position, and given a downturn in the market, I enrolled in an Instructional Design M.Ed. program at Western Governors University. I enthusiastically embrace new opportunities, both professional and personal, that come my way, and I thank you kindly for taking the time to visit my profile.
