ABOUT AMY J. HESTON
I love pedagogical innovation! Since 2006, I have aligned my work with the mission of Walsh University to inspire students as leaders in science and/or healthcare and to serve the common good with collaborators and community partners.Currently, my courses span a wide range of specializations including chemistry, biochemistry, science innovation through AI technology, AI for forensic investigation, AI for professional success, forensic science, nutrition, and undergraduate research. I have 4 QM certified courses in chemistry and forensic sciences. My other responsibilities include serving as Walsh’s Faculty Director for the Academic Excellence pillar of the teaching and learning center, Chair of the university assessment committee, QM Faculty Liaison for e-Learning, QM Ohio’s NE Ohio Representative, Master Reviewer for HE and K12, and Reviewer for AALHE\'s scholarly journals: Intersection and Emerging Dialogues. My research interests include forensic chemistry, AI innovation, QM implementation, and assessment of student achievement in science and AI.My newest community partner is Dr. Cody Braley, Crime Lab Director and Quality Manager for the Canton-Stark County Crime Laboratory.
