I am a partner in the New York office of K&L Gates LLP, a global law firm with over 1,800 lawyers in 48 offices across five continents. I advise domestic and international clients in the areas of resort, hospitality, and mixed-use development, commercial real estate acquisitions and sales, hotel operations, and other general real estate matters. I have recently or am currently assisting clients with the sale, acquisition, development, and/or financing of projects in the United States, Central and South America, Middle East, and Australia. In addition, I work extensively throughout the Caribbean region and have assisted clients with resort and hospitality projects in almost every country in the Caribbean. In doing so, I have developed and work closely with a vetted network of local counsel in the various Caribbean countries. I routinely assist clients with (i) structuring and documenting hotel and resort communities and other real estate developments, including purchase and sale agreements, covenants and easements, joint venture agreements, development agreements, hotel management agreements, hotel franchise agreements, condo documentation, membership club structuring and documentation, rental management agreements, and golf agreements,(ii) general commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assets through stock or asset transactions, and drafting and negotiating mortgage and mezzanine loan documentation.
