ABOUT AMY HANCOCK

I am a turnaround expert. The person you call when you’re company is dead, or mostly dead. I work as either an independent contractor or interim CEO/CFO/COO and have worked with startups and mature companies across many different industries. I’m deeply obsessed with optimization of any and all areas of business. The more messed up the better in my opinion. Over the last two decades, I’ve worked directly with failing companies to successfully pivot, rebrand, and restructure. Creating a frictionless relationship between money, people, and product is core to my consulting philosophy. The less internal and external friction, the greater the ease of operation, and coincidently, the more enjoyable the business to work with and in. I’ve seen companies go from default to thriving enough times to see consistent patterns emerge and believe that any struggling business is only a few key pivots away from changing its trajectory and becoming profitable. Experts tout the advantages of huge market, great product, and expert teams, but I’ve seen many businesses without any of those factors have miraculous improvements and profitable outcomes. 99.9% of all businesses in the United States are SMBs. 5M new businesses will start this year and up to 90% will eventually fail within the next 15 years. If you have a struggling business, you are not alone. Systemic failure requires systemic change. My mission is to provide the tools and support for the 90%.
