Amy is supporting businesses across the North East of Scotland on their journey to net zero, whilst aligning with the requirements of Environmental Social Governance. Amy helps businesses to understand how to develop a management plan tackling many of the aspects of sustainability, whilst signposting them to find relevant funds and helping them to apply. Amy is working with organisations across the region to ensure businesses can maximise the opportunities that are available to them, including working with Opportunity North East, Business Gateway, Zero Waste Scotland and NESCAN, to name but a few. Amy has overseen the creation of a Net Zero Academy which has gained accreditation through the professional membership organisation IEMA, with the first cohort to businesses taking place in November 2023. Amy also spends time reviewing business funding applications for high growth spin outs and innovation, assessing emission savings and sustainability impacts.
