ABOUT AMY GOLDING

Amy Eichenwald Golding, a native Allentownian and a graduate of William Allen High School, moved to New York City after receiving her BA from the University of Maryland to develop AmeriCorps VISTA service learning programs in schools in the Bronx and Special Education Districts while pursuing a Masters at Columbia University Teachers College. In Amy became the first Education Director at The New Shul, a pluralistic creative community in Manhattan. She was promoted to Executive Director in 2003 while continuing as Education Director in order to expand the success of the school to the entire community. She was honored by the community in recognition of her successful community building efforts. In 2009, Amy was selected to participate in The Institute for Not-For-Profit Management Executive Certificate program for rising Executives in the New York Metropolitan area through UJA-Federation and Columbia University Business School. Amy then took on the role as Managing Director of Buckle My Shoe, a private school with two locations in downtown Manhattan where she grew the enrollment to a waiting list in a highly competitive market and managed its rebranding efforts. Amy returned to the Lehigh Valley in 2016 to become the Head of School of a local private school she attended as a child. She is an avid grant writer and fundraiser and successfully raised thousands of dollars for the benefit of the school. In 2018, she was the first recipient of the Mark Goldstein Leadership Award recognizing her achievements as the outstanding professional. Amy received her M.S. Ed. in Collaborative Leadership from Drexel University in 2018. She received a certificate in Leadership from Spertus Institute in partnership with Northwestern University in 2022 and was invited to be part of the highly competitive first cohort of the Mandel Educational Leadership Program. Amy is the current AVP, Philanthropy and Donor Engagement at the United Way of the Lehigh Valley. She is an avid traveler, reader and cook and is currently learning Spanish. The people who make Amy laugh the most are her two children Jackson and Lyla.
