About Amy Doty
As the Dean of Correctional Education at Southeast Community College, I lead the UPWARD prison education program, a higher education initiative that serves incarcerated students across Southeast Nebraska. I also serve as the administrator for our Criminal Justice programs including law enforcement, homeland security, adult and juvenile services, and corrections. With over a decade of experience in Postsecondary Education, and as a formerly incarcerated college graduate myself, I have developed a passion for empowering learners from diverse backgrounds. I am a Doctor of Education Candidate in Higher Education Leadership and hold a Master of Arts in English. My skills include building strategic partnerships, program development, and bold negotiation. I am committed to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments that foster academic excellence and personal growth by meeting students where they are, creating opportunities, and removing barriers.
