I am the founder of the Mat-Su Sentinel, a nonprofit newsroom envisioned as serving the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of Alaska and targeted to launch in late August, 2024. I am reporter and editor covering news and issues local to Alaska. I cover the Mat-Su Valley for the Anchorage Daily News. I am the host of the Humans Outside podcast. I provide expert consulting on media operations and military veteran and family issues and policies based on my 13 years of experience as a military benefits and lifestyle subject matter expert. I am the former Director and Executive Editor for Military.com where I oversaw all content products and editorial work, including news.
