About Amy Bell Salo
A native North Carolinian and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Amy has spent her career bringing order and guidance to purpose-driven, equity-seeking nonprofit operations. Most recently, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Student U for ten years, during which time the organization\'s budget and staff tripled in size. Amy has volunteered as the Campaign Manager and Treasurer for various Durham City and School Board races, served as a foster parent and a Guardian ad Litem, and is a founding Board Member for the Durham Public Schools Foundation. In her coaching work with nonprofits and small businesses, Amy is interested in the workings of strong teams to accomplish big goals, the clarifying freedom found in strategic planning, the strength of collaborative budget creation, and the power of women in leadership. Amy lives in Durham with her high school sweetheart and their four children.
