Head of Verve Venture Group
Mar 2015 — Present · Los Angeles, CA, US
Beecroft joined Verve and launched Verve Ventures in 2015, establishing the agency’s independent film financing and sales division. Under her leadership, the group has grown into a powerful force in the independent film ecosystem, recognized for its creative taste, strategic rigor, and hands-on support of bold, filmmaker-driven work. With a deep background in the global film market - having held senior roles at HBO, FilmNation, GreeneStreet Films, and First Look/Overseas Filmgroup -Beecroft brings decades of experience and a sharp eye for commercial and artistic potential. She has been instrumental in giving Verve’s clients greater control over their material, helping to finance projects from the earliest stages and guiding them through packaging, production, and distribution. Under her leadership, recent Ventures successes include the competitive sale of SXSW 2025 breakout Good Boy to IFC/Shudder, and current marketplace titles such as Sender (starring Britt Lower, Jamie Lee Curtis, and David Dastmalchian), Carolina Caroline(an erotic thriller starring Samara Weaving, Kyle Gallner, and Kyra Sedgwick), and The Process (a psychological thriller with Don Cheadle, Halle Berry, and Garrett Hedlund). The action-comedy Fight or Flight, starring Josh Hartnett and directed by James Madigan, released on over screens in May 2025, while the road trip comedy Sacramento, starring Michael Cera, Kristen Stewart, and Maya Erskine, recently completed its theatrical run and is now streaming. Highlights from the Ventures slate include Greedy People with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lily James, and Simon Rex; TIFF selection and NYT Critic’s Pick Knox Goes Away directed by and starring Michael Keaton; SXSW Audience Award winner I Love My Dad with Patton Oswalt; and Emily the Criminal, the Sundance hit starring Aubrey Plaza. Known for championing original voices and high-integrity storytelling, Beecroft continues to set the standard for independent film representation and dealmaking.
