ABOUT AMRUTHA DESIKAN
I hold a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Innovation, Technology and the Law, with Distinction, from the University of Edinburgh Law School. I am an early career researcher in the field of technology, law and society. My research interests are socio-legal in their focus, particularly directed at exploring the relationship between the law and technology as they affect social justice. Currently, I am a Legal Research Fellow at the TrustBridge Rule of Law Foundation, where I work with the Regulatory Governance team on projects aimed at improving regulatory state capacity to enable better economic outcomes for India. We use Large Language Models to analyse and identify trends in regulatory actions, in order to draw insights from them and recommend ways to improve the functioning of regulators.I hold an advanced diploma in Cybersecurity and Data Protection laws. I am also an Advocate registered with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
