I am currently working with EY’s client, the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM), operating under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat. My main responsibility is to spearhead investment promotion and strategic initiatives across the entire value chain of the Electronics and Semiconductor Manufacturing sector, as well as the emerging Space Tech sector.In this capacity, I am dedicated to positioning Gujarat as a global hub for manufacturing in electronics, semiconductors, and space technology development. My consulting efforts encompass critical areas such as semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, Space Tech development—including ground segment infrastructure, fostering a start-up ecosystem, and enhancing space applications and design capabilities, as well as workforce development.Additionally, I contribute to the growth and innovation of the ESDM ecosystem (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) through research and development initiatives, while also facilitating the establishment of Centers of Excellence (CoEs). This holistic approach addresses design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment, ensuring a robust end-to-end development strategy for both the ESDM and Space Tech sectors within the state.As part of the Gujarat State Electronics Mission, I am actively engaging with companies across the entire value chain of space tech, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, encouraging them to establish or expand their operations in Gujarat by leveraging the state’s dynamic economy, robust infrastructure, and investor-friendly environment.We are further exploring emerging opportunities in Space Tech and next-generation electronics to further diversify and enhance Gujarat’s status as a hub for technological innovation.
